Why We Still Love Shopping in Person

Why We Still Love Shopping in Person

There’s something quietly magical about discovering something you weren’t looking for.

You wander past a ceramics studio and find the perfect mug. You stop to smell handmade soap. A child is drawn to a basket of wooden toys while music drifts through the trees. Before long, an ordinary Saturday has become an afternoon you'll remember.

In a world where almost everything arrives with the click of a button, markets invite us to slow down. They ask us to touch the fabric, notice the craftsmanship, meet the person behind the brand, and hear the story before making a purchase.

At Pip & Mim, we've always believed that shopping can be more than simply buying something new.

It can be discovering the softness of organic cotton for the first time. Seeing the tiny embroidered details that don't quite translate through a screen. Holding a favourite doll, feeling the softness of a muslin, or watching your child choose the piece they refuse to take off for the rest of the weekend.

That's why we're so excited to be joining Palo Market Fest this September. Set inside a former industrial space transformed into a creative oasis, the market brings together independent designers, makers, artists, food, music and families for a weekend that celebrates thoughtful craftsmanship and creativity.

We'll be bringing a carefully curated selection of the European children's brands you know from our shop, along with a few pieces that are even more beautiful in person.

Whether you've been following Pip & Mim since the beginning or simply happen to wander past our stand, we'd love to meet you.

Sometimes the best discoveries aren't planned.

We hope this is one of them.
